Can you fathom being at a basketball game with 109,000 other people? Because I sure can’t. Can you fathom watching a scoreboard that’s bigger than the actual court? Because I can’t.

But this is exactly  what happened for the NBA All-Star Game last night. As far as actual basketball games go, it wasn’t the most entertaining all-star affair I’d ever seen. However, it was clear this was more about spectacle than basketball.
To run a quick comparison, Air Canada Centre (where the Toronto Raptors play) has a full capacity of roughly 19,000 for basketball games. So, there was over 5 ACC’s in the house last night. FIVE. Insanity.
I have a feeling the nosebleed section would have sucked, if it wasn’t for the scoreboard being unreal. Everything really IS bigger in Texas.
Oh yeah, and Toronto Raptor Chris Bosh scored the game winning free throws.
